Joann Banks-Blume MARION-Joann Banks-Blume, 77, of Marion passed away at 5:30 PM, Thursday, June 1, 2006 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 3, 2006 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Frankie Pierce officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 3, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Marion. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or the Lupus Foundation; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Blume was born on September 6, 1928 in Crab Orchard, Illinois to Raymond Paul and Gladys Eva (Edwards) Kelly. She married Milton Blume, he preceded her in death. Survivors include son, Michael Ray Banks of Sesser; good friend, Rosemary Redden of Marion; and three nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and brothers, Jack and James Kelly. Mrs. Blume retired from Roxanna School System where she had worked as a secretary for many years. She was a member of the Crab Orchard Methodist Church.
