Joan J. Swan CRAB ORCHARD-Joan J. Swan, 61, of Crab Orchard passed away at 9:50 AM, Saturday, August 15, 2009 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Jimmy Reynolds officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Church Cemetery, Pope County. Joan was born May 26, 1948 in Pope County, Illinois to Robert and Mildred (Lambert) Stapleton. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Erick Davis of Marion; daughter, Angela Swan of Marion; three grandchildren, Kaylee Campbell, Tiffany Campbell and Austin Neibel; her mother, Mildred Stapleton; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Larry Turner of Marion; brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Gayla Stapleton of Goreville; special friend, Bill Fatur of Cambria; and many nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Paul Stapleton; and infant son, Robert Zinser. Joan loved her animals, the outdoors and gardening.
