Jo Anna Archibald

Jo Anna “Jo Jo” Archibald, 51, of Marion, Illinois, passed away peacefully at her home on December 28, 2024. She was born on October 4, 1973, in Carbondale, Illinois, she was the daughter of Dale “Squeak” Wilson and Barbara (Evans) Johnson. 

Jo dedicated her life to being a homemaker and found joy in creating arts and crafts, especially her beautifully handmade vases. She had a deep love for animals, especially her beloved dogs and cats, who were her constant companions. 

She is survived by her sister, Angie Bell; her half-brother, John Dunning; her niece, Roxie; and her nephews, Michael, Dade, Ian, and Tucker.  

Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Barbara. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Blue Funeral Home under the direction of Binkley-Ross. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Blue Funeral Home, located at 1704 N. Court St. in Marion, Illinois. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Marion. 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Williamson County Animal Shelter in Jo’s memory. 

Jo’s warm spirit and creative soul will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
