Pittsburg-Lydia Jewell Hudgens, 80, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014 at her home. Jewell was born on December 10, 1933 in Marion to Benjimen and Lydia (Grimes) Murphy. She married Bob Hudgens; he preceded her in death on November 23, 2010. Jewell was the owner of the Pizza Palace and a member of Second Baptist Church.  She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Survivors include: Son-Keith Ice of Marion Grandchildren: Benjimen Tripp and wife Amber of Pittsburg Samantha Ice of Sadlia, MO Great grandchildren: McKennah Bowen of Eldorado Brendon Tripp of Eldorado Benjimen Tripp Jr of Pittsburg Step daughter-Starla Clark of Kansas City, MO Step grandchildren: Sean Clark of Kansas City, MO Corteney Clark of Kansas City, MO She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Kathy Tripp; brothers, Lee Murphy, Raymond Murphy and Melvin Murphy. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 12pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Mark Mohler officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Tuesday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home.
