Goreville-Jerry D. Morrison, 69, passed away at 4:17pm on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Jerry was born on August 3, 1944 in Evansville, IN to George “Zach” and Afton (Davis) Morrison. He married Crystal White on June 11, 1967 in Goreville. She preceded him in death on October 16, 2004. Jerry loved all sports, especially SIU Basketball. He liked hot rods and restoring vehicles. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and eating Hershey Kisses. He will be missed by all. Survivors: Children: Mindy Farren and husband Scott of Goreville Andy Morrison and wife Brandy of Goreville Grandchildren: Eden Morrison Chayne and Casey Goines Kelsey and Cody Edwards Kolton Morrison Drew Morrison Stephanie and William Doty Tristen Sahlin-Farren Bethany Sahlin-Farren Jacob Rutledge Landon Farren Great Grandchildren: Skyler Gunn Alan William Doty Brother-Gary Morrison and wife Janet of Goreville Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Crystal; son, Eric Morrison and granddaughter, Makayla Morrison. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 12pm at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Pastor Mindy Farren officiating. Burial will follow at Busby Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the Eagle House Ministry and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/ PO Box 411/ Marion, IL 62959.
