Jerry Johnson

Goreville-Jerry R. Johnson, 75, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale with his family by his side. Jerry was born September 26, 1940 in Goreville to Harold and Beulah (Perry) Johnson.  He married Darla K. Hinckle on May 6, 1960 at the Goreville Pentecostal Church by the Rev. Dearl Hinckle. She survives of Goreville Jerry was the owner and operator of Johnson’s Siding and Replacement Windows for 48 years where he employed many contractors and employees.  The family says thank you to the thousands of faithful customers throughout Southern Illinois. Survivors include: Wife-Darla K. Johnson of Goreville Sons: Brian and Nancy Johnson of Coconut Creek, FL Kevin and Penny Johnson of Goreville Daughter-Marci Johnson-Tripp of Goreville Grandchildren: Brandon Dempsey Bryna Blissit Jordan Dempsey Landon Dempsey Alyssa Johnson McKenzie Gray Jerry Kash Johnson Perry Tripp Kamry Tripp Great grandchildren: Sarah Elizabeth Blissit Easton Dempsey Brother-Harold Lavon and Sharon Johnson of Goreville Sister-Betty and Paul Walker of Bourbonnais Several nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Beulah Johnson; daughter, Kimberly Johnson; brothers, Richard Johnson and Roy Johnson and infant sister, Brenda Johnson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 1pm at Lick Creek Pentecostal Church with Rev. C.E. Sullivan and Rev. R.G. Walls officiating.  Burial will follow at Busby Cemetery.  Visitation will also be on Saturday from 11am until the time of service at the church.
