Goreville Jennifer Jo (Lyell) O’Brien, 37, of Fruit Cove, FL, formerly of Goreville passed away on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 11:30 PM in Williamson County due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident along with her fiancé’ Lawrence Garrett Jarvis. Visitation for Jennifer will be held at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville on Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be officiated by Reverend Ralph Brandon on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home in Goreville. Memorial donations are suggested to Jennifer’s children (c/o her sister, Stephanie Brewer); envelopes will be available during the services or may be sent C/O Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL, 62959. Jennifer Jo was born on Monday, August 12, 1974 in Marion to Randy & Rebecca (Thomley) Lyell. She is survived by her four children, Rebecca Nelson, Ryan Nelson, Brady O’Brien and Brennan O’Brien (all children reside in Florida); sisters, Stephanie & Everett Brewer of Goreville, Chasity & Matt Walters of VA and Kasha Lyell of AZ; grandmother, Frieda Elkins of Marion; aunts & uncles, Randy Thomley of Carbondale, Tony & Dion Thomley and Jim & Pauline Lyell (both couples reside in Marion); nieces & nephews, Jessica & Sarah LeGrand, Britany & Kirsten Brewer and Madison & Matt Walters. Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents, Randy & Rebecca Lyell. Jennifer was a dedicated mother, who loved spending much of her free time with her children. She was an insurance sales representative who loved traveling and was an avid Saint Louis Cardinals fan.
