Jeffrey Cox MARION-Jeffrey Cox, 52, of Marion passed away at 6:40 AM, Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Kendrick Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Dennis Mohr and Reverend Gary Rothenberger officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, June 18, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Jeffrey was born June 29, 1957 in Marion to Wayne and Julia (Cruse) Cox. Survivors include his parents, Wayne and Julia Cox of Marion; brother and sister-in-law, Leslie and Vickie Cox of Marion; and many cousins and aunts. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Geraldine and L.B. Cruse; paternal grandparents, Ella and Lloyd Cox; and maternal great grandparents, Anna and Leo Norris and Harriet Frame. Jeffrey was a member of First Baptist Church in Marion. He played the organ for many area churches. He worked as an assistant and a teacher in Special Education. He served his country with the United States Navy, stationed with the United States Marines.
