Jarrett Jordan Smith MARION-Jarrett Jordan Smith, 44, of Marion went home on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, after a courageous battle with Lung Cancer. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 6, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Marion with Dr. Bob Dickerson officiating. A repast will be held after the service at the church. Blue Funeral Home is assisting the family with the services. Jarrett was born on January 20, 1965, Chicago to Jarrett Jamison (Deceased) and Virginia Swanson. He was baptized at First Baptist Church in Marion on September 27, 2009. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Virginia and Carl Swanson; two sons, Jarrett Jason Mintz and Oran Adam-Smith; two daughters, Jasmine N. Smith and Dakota Adam-Smith; fiancé, Daetesha Drislin; brother and sister-in-law, Jarrell and Pamela Smith; two sisters, Gloria Van Horn and Melicia Nicholson; great grandmother, Mary Roberts; cousins, Donald, Robert, Antoine, Adrian and Luvenia Swearegene; and other family members. Jarrett loved life. He was outgoing, carefree and happy, he never met a stranger. He always tried to make people laugh. The Lord blessed him with a friendly personality.
