Janna Lynn Rasmussen

Janna L. Nicholson-Rasmussen, age 60, of Marion, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at her home in Marion, Illinois.

Janna was born October 02, 1963 in Marion, Illinois. Janna was a daughter of James and Joanne (Springhart) Nicholson. Janna was raised in Marion, Illinois and had been employed as a blackjack Dealer on Harrah's Casino in Metropolis, Illinois . She enjoyed animals and loved her two dogs Forrest and Ethery.

She is survived by two siblings, James Nicholson (Fiancee Jeri Hale) of Marion, IL and Dana (Douglas) Marlow of Marion, IL and her niece, Lezlie Nicholson of Marion, IL, nephew Wyatt Nicholson of Marion, IL, nephew Dustin Whitehead of Marion, IL, nephew David (Rachael) Whitehead of Marion, IL, great-nephew Landen Whitehead of Marion, IL, great-niece London Whitehead of Marion, IL, great-niece Laila Whitehead of Marion, IL, and great-niece Olivia Whitehead of Marion, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Joanne Nicholson.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday March 15th, 2024 at Coal Bank Springs Cemetery in Crab Orchard, Illinois with Rev. Keith Owens officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the cemetery. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
