Janet S. Emery MARION-Janet S. Emery, 59, of Marion passed away at 11:54 AM, Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at St. Louis University Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 AM, Saturday, December 9, 2006 at The Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, December 8, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Marion. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research Foundation; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Emery was born on November 24, 1947 in Marion, Illinois to William and Bernice (Penrod) Kneezel. She married Ron Emery on June 5, 1981 in Marion; together they shared 25 years of marriage. Survivors include her husband, Ron; son, Michael Emery; step-sons, Mark David Emery, Lance Eric Emery, Ronald Scott Emery and Van Travis Emery; her mother, Bernice Kneezel; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jane and Bill Reynolds, Pam and Joe D. Stritzel, Kathy and David Tanner and Margaret and Brian Gwaltney; and brother, Billy Kneezle. She was preceded in death by her father. Mrs. Emery was employed at John A. Logan College in the Financial Aid Office. She retired from GTE after 28 years.
