Jane Ann Dorris MARION-Jane Ann Dorris, 51, of Marion passed away at 12:42 AM, Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at her home. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM, Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Chapman Cemetery in Tunnel Hill with family and friends officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Memorials may be made to Marion Regional Humane Society-“No Kill”; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Jane was born March 10, 1959 in Leavenworth, Kansas to James Edwin and Naomi Ann (Sterett) Pearsley. She married Bill Dorris on September 20, 1980; he preceded her in death on January 24, 1985. Survivors include her daughter, Cody Dorris and her fiancé, Derek Brandon; granddaughter, Amelia Brandon; brother and sister-in-law, John and Amanda Pearsley; nieces and nephew, Gena Fisher, Lee Fisher and Jimmy Pearsley; aunt, Patricia Schanze; cousin, Stet Schanze and family; and longtime friends, Mike “Flash” and Debbie Malin and Jackie Empson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, James Edwin “Jay” Pearsley, II. Jane was formerly a cosmetologist. She loved to play golf. She also enjoyed water sports, hunting, traveling and gardening.
