James Adrian Palmer, 43, of Marion passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, May 24, 2012.
Funeral services are set for Noon on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Heartland Christian Church-900 East Boyton Street in Marion-with Brother Greg Gibbs officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. A time of gathering for family and friends will precede the funeral from 10:00 AM until the service hour at the church. Memorial donations are suggested to Heartland Christian Church; envelopes will be available during services, or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959.
James was born in Rosiclare to Adrian & Elizabeth (Boyd) Palmer on Saturday, June 1, 1968. He married Robin Zeigler on Saturday, June 28, 2003; they were about to celebrate their 9th wedding anniversary.
He is survived by his loving wife, Robin of Marion; children, Adriana Kaye Palmer and Austin Kimmel Baker; mother, Elizabeth Gee of Marion; sisters, Donna & Jerry Lewis of Murfreesboro, TN and Mary & Shane Parkinson of Parker, PA; mother & father-in-law, John & Carrol Zeigler; sister & brother-in-law, John & Crystal Davis; nieces & nephews, Ashtyn Davis, Tyler Ross, Daizha Locke, Nathan Locke, Sandy Dowdy and Rusty & Carla Dowdy and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceding him in death was his father, Adrian.
James was an active member of Heartland Christian Church and a former member of the US National Guard. He was employed in the field of mine construction, enjoyed riding motorcycles and loved the great outdoors.
