James Michael Patton
MARION-James Michael Patton, 47, of Marion passed away at 6:05 AM, Sunday, February 3, 2008 at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 8, 2008 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Todd Greiner officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will be at Herrin City Cemetery. Mr. Patton was born on January 20, 1961 in Marion to James Russell and Phyllis Anne (Grounds) Patton.
Survivors include his father, James Russell Patton of Galatia; sister, Annette Marie Patton; aunt and uncle, Judy and Larry Kuhar; uncle, Roger Grounds; special friends, Don and Candie Rogers; and many other cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Anne Patton; grandparents, Elroy and Lillian Grounds; and brother, Mark Patton.
Michael was formerly employed at Fabick Machinery and most recently owned and operated the Baseball Card Shop in McLeansboro. He had a baseball display at DuQuoin fairgrounds. He was an avid golfer and worked at the Stardust Golf Course in Johnston City.
