James Lukesh

Goreville-James Lukesh, 75, passed away at 3am on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at his sons’ home in Goreville. James was born on October 13, 1938 in Chicago to Joseph and Marcella (Haukrin) Lukesh. He married JoAnn Kuhnke on July 4, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois. She preceded him in death on August 27, 2006. James was a retired truck driver who loved drag racing and muscle cars. He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his animals. James also loved to spend time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all. Survivors include: Daughters: Marcella Marie Lukesh of Marion Lois Ann Angone of Johnston City Son and daughter-in-law- James R. and Denise Lukesh of Goreville Grandchildren: Thomas and Sharon Angone, Joshua, Daniel and Angel Angone and Krysten and James Lukesh Great-grandchildren: Gavin Angone, Michael Lukesh, Adrianna Angone and Autumn Angone Sisters: Delores Lukesh and Christina and Don Henkins Brother-Paul Lukesh Many nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, four brothers and one granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be on Friday, January 24, 2014 from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home.
