James L. Bailey MARION-James L. Bailey, 89, of Marion passed away at 5:00 PM, Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Mark Peters and Nathan Pedigo officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery, Marion. James was born April 17, 1921 in Vadis, West Virginia to Aubrey and Wilda (Stout) Bailey. He married Caroline Fritz on November 27, 1942 in Lincoln Park, Michigan; together they shared 67 years of marriage. Survivors include his wife, Caroline Bailey of Marion; daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Roger Thomas Sr. of Marion; 5 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Lois Lattea of Clarksburg, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, one great-grandson, and three great-great-grandchildren James loved to garden, hunt, and fish. He served his country in the United States Navy on the U.S.S. M.B. Stewart.
