James L. Atkins

James L. Atkins MARION-James L. Atkins, 72, of Marion passed away at 5:14 AM, Saturday, October 27, 2007 at his home. With respect with James’ personal wishes, his body was donated to medical science. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Atkins was born December 20, 1934 in Portsmouth, Virginia to John Wesley and Lillian Ann (Bloom) Atkins. Survivors include sons, Steve Atkins and Bruce Atkins; special friend, Mary Horn; sister, Eleanor Edwards; and brother, Linwood Atkins. He was a member of the Unitarian Church. He earned his degree in accounting and economics, and worked as an accountant for Sonoma County Water Agency in California.
