James Ballard

GOREVILLE-James Ballard, 88, of Goreville passed away at 11:35 AM, Friday, April 29, 2005 at the Illinois Veterans Home in Anna. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, May 2, 2005 at the Blue Funeral Home IN Goreville with Reverend Tim Woodard officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Sunday, May 1, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Buncombe. Mr. Ballard was born on March 7, 1917 in Buncombe, Illinois to Ferd and Anna (Stone) Ballard. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Don Fowler of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; grandchildren, Mark Douglas and Ann Fowler and Martin Don and Linda Fowler; five great grandchildren; and special friend, Lois Terry. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kenneth Ballard. Mr. Ballard attended the Goreville United Methodist Church. He was a retired railroad employee. He was a member of the Saline Masonic Lodge #339.
