James A. Vaughn

James A. Vaughn MARION-James A. Vaughn, 60, of Marion passed away at 7:00 AM, Monday, July 20, 2009 at his residence in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 23, 2009 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Don Grammer officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service Thursday, July 23, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial will be at New Salem Cemetery in Creal Springs, Illinois. Mr. Vaughn was born on January 12, 1949 in Creal Springs to Walter and Vivian (White) Vaughn. James attended Vienna High School and worked as a laborer. He loved baseball, horses, and spending time with his family. He was a kind, gentle spirit, and will be sadly missed by all those who loved him. James was a Christian and his faith never faltered. He is survived by his brother, Walter “Gene” Vaughn of Marion; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce & Deon Rich of Creal Springs; Donna & Don Goodrich of Crown Point, Indiana; Brenda & David Faron of Mundelin, Illinois; Linda & Dee Church of Carterville; Janice Lang of Herrin; and Sandra & Leon Rich of West Frankfort; nieces and nephews, Brian Goodrich, Jill & Mike Wells, Cara & Kevin Miller, Todd Doughty, Alison & Adam Davies, Caitlin Church, Matt Lang, Benji Rich, and Lee Rich. He is also survived by six great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant nephew, Stephen Rich. “God receive his sweet soul into Heaven.”
