James A. Skeripski
OZARK-James A. Skeripski, 63, of Ozark passed away at 3:00 AM, Friday, October 5, 2007 at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM, Sunday, October 7, 2007 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Father Bert Iffert officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Skeripski was born September 25, 1944 in Chicago to Leonard and Mary V. (Horodnik) Skeripski. He married Dawn L. Vogeltanz on February 6, 1993 in Evergreen Park.
Survivors include his wife, Dawn of Ozark; son and daughter-in-law, James, Jr. and Lori Skeripski; daughter and son-in-law, Kerry and Robert Page; step-daughters and husbands, Kimberly and Gary Heilman, Michelle and Tommy Vanderlee and Janet Hastings; twelve grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Lee Thomason; and four nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kimberly Skeripski; and son, Bradley Carnes.
Mr. Skeripski worked as a welder for many years and rebuilt trailers and racecars. He lived in Chicago most of his life. After amputation of both legs he remained positive and would still build things. He even spent time talking to children after they went through the same surgery to help them adjust.
He always put a smile on every ones face and he will be greatly missed.
