Hugh “Bevo” Boatright MARION-Hugh “Bevo” Boatright, 88, of Marion passed away at 9:45 PM, Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 11, 2006 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Floyd Dorris officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Mr. Boatright was born on April 4, 1917 in Marion, Illinois to Hugh and Courtney (Jones) Boatright. He married in Lois Harrison in 1940 in Arkansas. She preceded him in death on August 21, 2000. Survivors include his sisters, Janie Dippie of Marion; brother, Leamon Boatright; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Lloyd Boatright; sisters, Jewell Travelstead, Ruby Morris, Bessie Dunning. Mr. Boatright was of the Baptist faith. He served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a coal Truck driver for many years. He was also retired from Hammond Lead Company in Hammond, Indiana.
