Hubert L. (Frog) Spencer Marion-Hubert L. (Frog) Spencer, 86, of Marion passed away at 11:50 PM, Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at Mt. Vernon Health Care Center, Mt Vernon, Illinois. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 5, 2006 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Matthew Troxel officiating. Mr. Spencer was born on February 29, 1920 in Marion to Barney and Lou (Glover) Spencer. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Linda Kay and Robert Kreitler of St. Louis, Missouri; daughter Leah Spencer of Albuquerque, New Mexico; step-daughter Carole and husband Joe Johnson. Of San Antonio Texas; grandchildren Michael and John Kreitler, Greg Noren, and Beth Rumore. Seven great-grandchildren; cousin Bonnie Scoggin, second cousin Luann Groves; and sister-in-law Martha Spencer of Royalton. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Charles Spencer; former wives. Dorothy Waters, Nina Finn, and Fern Bearden. Mr. Spencer was a member of Bethel Mission Baptist Church. He was also a lifetime member of the Marion BPO Elks, Shriners, Masons, and the United Mineworkers Association. Private burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion.
