Howard W. Norris, Jr. MARION-Howard W. Norris, Jr., 70, of Marion passed away at 7:30 AM, Monday, September 25, 2006 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 28, 2006 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Joe McRoy officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Marion. Military rites will be held at the cemetery by Marion VFW Post 1301 and American Legion Post 147. Mr. Norris was born on November 14, 1935 in Marion, Illinois to Howard W. and Mary Belle (Johnson) Norris. He married Betty McKee, she preceded him in death. Survivors include his children, Debbie and John Watson of Marion, Steven and Sheila Norris of Marion, Timothy E. Norris of Marion, Christi and David Frew of Johnston City, Mary E. Norris of Johnston City and SSG Matthew A. and Susan Norris; grandchildren, John Watson, Jr., Jamie Watson, Jennifer Bloodworth, Lethan Thompson, Alexis Thompson, James Walsh, Jacob Walsh, Jerod Walsh, Mathew Allen Norris, Steven Norris, Amanda Norris, Stephanie Norris and Denise Norris; great grandchildren, Genesis Y. Thompson, Zepplin N. K. Thompson, Alexis B. Thompson and three on the way; sister and brother-in-law, Jeanette and Peter McRoy of Marion. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; son, Mark Norris; sisters, Delores Tonner and Betty Newbolds; and brother, Kenny Norris. Mr. Norris attended the “Church on the Way” in Marion. He served his country in the United States Army. He loved to fish and hunt. “PePaw” was loved and will be greatly missed by his great grandchildren.
