Howard “Bud” Bradshaw MARION-Howard “Bud” Bradshaw, 89, of Marion passed away at 7:35 PM, Sunday, January 3, 2010 at the V.A. Medical Center in Marion. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, January 17, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church in Marion with Reverend Dan Whitfield officiating. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with the arrangements. Bud was born on January 26, 1920 in St. Louis, Missouri to Huitt and Minnie (Laws) Bradshaw. He married Helen Louise Bround; together they shared 43 years of marriage. Survivors include his wife, Helen Bradshaw of Marion; five step-children; and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Bud previously worked as the head carpenter at Principia College in Elsah, retiring after many years of service. He served his country with the United States Army during World War II, and was awarded the Purple Heart.
