Horace Edward "Ed" Annable

Goreville-Horace Edward “Ed” Annable, 76, passed away at 5:25 am on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at his home. Ed was born on December 21, 1936 in Lone Oak, Arkansas to Samuel and Cora Lee (Woodside) Annable. He married Shirley Marie Penrod on August 19, 1955 in Mounds City, Illinois.  She survives of Goreville. Ed was a member of Abundant Life Assembly of God church in Marion.  He enjoyed cooking, caring for his two dogs and loved his tractor time. Ed was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for anyone.  He was very giving of his time and himself. Survivors include: Wife-Shirley Annable of Goreville Son-Scott Annable and wife Sherri of Goreville Daughters: Connie Bushor of Texas Debbie Newman and husband Bruce of St. Louis, Missouri Karen Braden and husband Terry of Goreville Grandchildren: Kassi, Leah, Lee Anna and Samuel Great grandchildren: Kaiden, Addison and Kynslee Several step grandchildren and great grandchildren Brothers: John Annable, Alfred Annable and Richard Annable Sisters: Mary Ida McCarver, Janis Farris and Joyce Riley He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Betty Jean Ring The family would like to give thanks to VNA-TIP Hospice and a special thanks to Dr. Jeffrey Parks and his staff at Logan Primary Care for their loving car in this tragic time. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Rev. Jimmy Russell and Rev. R.G. Null officiating.  Burial will follow at Busby Cemetery in Goreville. Visitation will be on Friday, August 30, 2013 from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home.
