Galatia-Helen Jodene Shadowens, 82, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.
She leaves her husband of 66 years, Billy Dean Shadowens

Helen met Billy at Scottsboro Church of God and was married August 26, 1950. Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She loved reading, fishing, playing cards and teaching the word of God. Helen was loved and will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Raymond Frey, Luther Lawrence Frey and Trecil Frey and daughter, Teresa Dawn Shadowens
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 11am at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Johnny Burnett and Rev. Linda Burnett officiating. Burial will follow at Coal Bank Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 5pm to 8pm at the funeral home.
