Helen McCormick Marion-Helen McCormick, 80, of Marion, passed away at 6:45 PM on Friday, April 22, 2011 at Parkway Manor Nursing Home. As per her wishes, her body will be cremated and the family will hold a private service at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Parish Park Baptist Church and may be sent C/O Blue Funeral Home, P.O. Box 411, Marion, IL, 62959. Helen was born on May 16, 1930 in Rock Springs, WY to Steve & Ethel (Wargo) Bucho. She married John “Bud” McCormick on December 1, 1947 and shared 51 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on December 10, 1998. She is survived by her children, Robert & Rebecca McCormick of Belle Rive, Danny McCormick of Benton and Danny Ray & April Lynn McCormick of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren, Jeremy Ryan McCormick, Ian Michael McCormick and Charity Smallwood; great-grandchild Mason Ryan McCormick; brothers, James Bucho of Green River, WY and Albert & Julie Bucho of Smelterville, Idaho; sister, Irene & Herman Thiemann of Torrington, WY. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers and one sister. She was a member of the Parish Park Baptist Church in Marion. She was also a member of the Jefferson Home Extension. Helen was a homemaker.
