Helen Hellberg MARION - 8220; Helen Hellberg, 83, of Marion passed away at 4:00 AM, Saturday, April 19, 2008 at home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion, with Reverend Donnie Colson officiating. Visitation will be Monday, April 21, 2008 from 5:00PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oddfellows Cemetery in Marion. Mrs. Hellberg was born on February 22, 1925 in Williamson County to Beckford and Ruth (Shadowens) Garris. She married Harold Hellberg in 1940; together they shared 36 years of marriage until he preceded her in death on July 26, 1976. Survivors include son, Larry Hellberg of Marion, daughters, Wilma Fofar of Marion, Barbara O’Connor and her husband Bernard of Marion; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Janet Hellberg of Corinth; son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Judy Hellberg of Marion; daughter. Cleta R. Carter of Marion; sisters, Anna Mae Thompson, Pauline Thompson both of Creal Springs, and Nadine Mulkins of Pittsburg; brother, Carl Garris and wife Alice of Marion; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Rossita Stapleton; grandchildren LaDonna Fofar and Scotty O’Connor, sisters Rocille Creekpaum, Velda Smith, Thelma Garris, and Juanita Garris; and brother, Virgil Lee Garris. Mrs. Hellberg was a homemaker and a member of the Scottsboro Church of God. She will be missed by her family and friends.
