Hazel Boomer-Gulley HERRIN-Hazel Boomer-Gulley, 86, of Herrin passed away at 7:37 PM, Sunday, January 29, 2006 at Shawnee Christian Nursing Home in Herrin. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Busby Cemetery in Goreville. Memorials may be made to Hearts Helping Hearts, envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62659. Mrs. Boomer-Gulley was born on March 10, 1919 in Williamson County, Illinois to Samuel and Vada (Ramsey) Grimes. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Pamela Boomer of Marion; daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Raymond Apple of Colp; grandchildren, Jeffrey Boomer, Billy Joe Boomer, Richard Apple and Stephanie Thompson; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cline Boomer; grandson, Jerry Len Boomer; three brothers, Woodrow Grimes, Eugene Grimes, Lester Don Grimes; and two sisters, Sylvia Woolard and Edith Burroughs. Mrs. Boomer-Gulley was of the Baptist Faith. She was a member of the Williamson County Senior Citizens. She lived in Williamson County all her life.
