Harvey Simmons

Pittsburg Harvey S. Simmons, 74, of Pittsburg passed away at 2:40 PM in Herrin Rehab & Nursing Center on Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, April 27, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Don Colson officiating. A time of gathering for family and friends will precede the funeral service starting at noon on Friday at the funeral home. Harvey will be interred at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion following the funeral service. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is in charge of arrangements. Harvey was born on Sunday, February 13, 1938 in Tunnel Hill to Earl & Mary (Johnson) Simmons. He is survived by his sister, Evelyn Funk and several nieces & nephews. Mr. Simmons was preceded in death by his parents, Earl & Mary; long time companion, Nadine Mulkins; sister, Marie Cover and brother, Jack Simmons.
