Harry Spears

Herrin Harry L. Spears, 77, of Herrin passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at his residence. It was Mr. Spears’ wishes that his body be cremated. The family will celebrate his life in a private memorial service at a later date. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family. Harry was born on Thursday, June 28, 1934 in Harrisburg to Earl & Thelma (Morris) Spears. Mr. Spears is mourned by his children, Jami & Kurt Gugora of Willowbrook & Robbie Spears of Ft. Meyers, FL; grandchild, Kace Wall; sister, Betty Jo & Loren Carter of Marion; sister-in-law, Leda Spears of Orlando; special friends, Tom Pool of Ava and Bill Whiting of Winterhaven, FL; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl & Thelma and brother, Richard Spears. Harry was a proud United States Army Veteran. He loved to fish and to hunt and was also a member of the Fin & Feather Club located in Freeman Spur. Mr. Spears retired after 35 years from his position as a loan officer at Credit Thrift of America.
