Harold Phillips

Harold E. “Harry” Phillips HERRIN–Harold E. “Harry” Phillips, 55, of Herrin formerly of Creal Springs passed away at 3:45 PM, Monday, March 16, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 19, 2009 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor David Vaughn officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Mr. Phillips was born on December 31, 1953 in Creal Springs to Doliver James and Lillian (Malcom) Phillips. Survivors include his longtime partner, Judy Hastings; sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene Ray and Jeana Phillips and Lonnie Dale and Melissa Phillips all of Marion; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Rick Dolderer of West Frankfort; grandchildren, Beth Phillips, Eugene Phillips II, James Smiley, Mason Phillips, Cassie Dolderer and Kaleb Dolderer; two brothers; and four sisters. He was preceded in death by his father, Doliver James Phillips; his mother, Lillian Phillips Craig; one brother; and two sisters. Mr. Phillips worked as a small engine mechanic. He enjoyed the outdoors and going fishing.
