Harold Croft

Marion-Harold Croft, 91, passed away at 1:35pm on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Harold was born on September 11, 1923 in Water Valley, KY to Olive and Willie (McClain) Croft.  He married Kathleen Fuller “Jackie” on March 19, 1945 in Mayfield, Ky.  She survives of Marion. Harold loved his country and proudly served in the US Army during WWII. He was a longtime Brickmason in the Marion area and was in the Brickmason Union Local #8.  Harold was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.  He loved to fish and spend time with his grand kids and great grand kids.  He will be missed by all. Survivors include: Wife-Kathleen Fuller (Jackie) Children: Darlene (Dee) Willi & Justin Dale Croft & Vicki Grandchildren: Jason King & Wendy Jaret Willi & Rebecca Jordan Willi & Fiancé Miranda Brockman Matthew Croft & Jamie Adam Croft & Leanne Lindsay Croft Great grandchildren: Allison, Luke & Will King and Baby King due in February Jordan Brockhouse Liam, Dalton, Sloan & Torin Croft Kaitlyn & Kolton Poole He was preceded in death by his parents, Olive Croft and Willie Croft and great grandchild, Madison Nicole Croft Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 2pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Tim Ozment officiating. Military rites will be performed by the Marion VFW with assistance from the Illinois National Guard. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Friday from 1pm until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the Ritual Team and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/ 1704 N. Court St/ Marion, IL  62959.
