Marion-Geri Vaughn, 87, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Geri was born on August 7, 1930 in Carterville to Clyde and Flossie (Taylor) Blake. She married Robert R. Vaughn on September 24, 1950 in Marion. He preceded her in death on January 17, 2008.
Geri was a longtime member of Second Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. Her first job was at Sangamo Electric and then she worked for the Bank of Marion for over 30 years. Geri was an avid Cardinals fan and enjoyed square dancing. She spent time at the Senior Citizens Center playing in the Kitchen Band. Geri loved spending time with her family and friends and adored her puppies "Skipper" and "Shady." Geri will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and brother, Clyde “Corky” Blake.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 11am at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Wes Henson and Rev. Charles Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home.
