Geraldine Briggance

Herrin-Geraldine Briggance, 86, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at the Voyage Senior Living Center in Herrin.

Geraldine was born on March 11, 1934 in St. Louis to Harry and Margaret (Meister) Codori.  She married James Briggance on August 7, 1952 in Lenzburg, IL and he preceded her in death on January 17, 2000.

Geraldine worked as a sales clerk.  She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Marion and enjoyed attending Tuesday Morning Bible study. Geraldine loved puzzles, sewing and was an excellent seamstress.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step father, LeRoy Frech and daughter, Brenda S. Morgan.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 11am at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Brett Beasley officiating.  Visitation will also be on Friday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home.

Inurnment will be on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 11am at Marissa Cemetery.

Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus, those attending the service are asked to follow social distancing guidelines and wear a face mask.
