George “Bill” Crain MARION – George William Terry “Bill” Crain, 91, of Marion, passed away at 6:45 AM, Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 14, 2010. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion. Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Bill was born on June 24, 1919 in Marion to Ceasar & Carrie (Woodard) Crain. He was married for 18 years to Hilda Herring who survives. Together they had seven children. Survivors include his children, sons Terry Crain, Jack Crain, Mike and Sheila Crain all of Marion, and four daughters, Pamela Graham of Murphysboro, Linda and Kenny Bradley, Sharon and John Tolbert & Maurece Tolbert of Marion; A cousin, Katherine Wargo and other family of Springfield, Illinois also survives.. Bill was preceded in death by 11 siblings. Bill loved his children but he lived for his 23 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Bill was a veteran of the Korean War. He worked most of his life in television repair but also had a variety of other occupations. Bill loved to watch gospel on TV and loved singing hymns. He also loved to talk to people and receive visits from his many family and friends.
