George T. White MARION-George T. White, 92, of Marion passed away at 3:00PM, Friday, October 27, 2006 at Parkway Manor Nursing Home in Marion. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday October 31,2006 at Blue Funeral Home, Marion with Reverend Leroy Waggoner officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 to 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery south of Marion. Memorials may be made to Shiloh Cemetery Fund; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mr. White was born on August 12, 1914 in Marion, Illinois to Thurmond and Clara (Campbell) White. He married Retha Gulledge on November 7, 1932 in Marion, Illinois she preceded him in death on January 13, 2002. Mr. White is survived by his daughter, Betty Vaughn of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren, Steve and Kathy Vaughn and Mike and Patrice Vaughn all of St. Louis, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Lisa, Lori, and Ryan Vaughn; brothers Howard White of Peoria, Illinois and Leslie White of Marion, Illinois; sisters Edith Pritchett and Violet Spiller, both of Marion, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son Donnie White; sister Lucille White. Mr. White was a member of the Machinist’s Union, and Heartland Christian Church.
