George Jones, Jr.

George E. Jones, Jr. Marion-George E. Jones, Jr., 56 of Marion, passed away unexpectedly at Jaco, Costa Rico. According to his wishes, George’s body will be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with final arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested to either the Abbey & Alex Jones Education Fund or Susan G. Komen for the Cure. George was born in St. Charles to George & Phyllis (Cannedy) Jones, Sr. on November 22, 1956. His wife Rhonda preceded him on June 18, 2007. He is survived by son, Damon Jones; father, George & Mary Jones, Sr.; grandchildren, Abby Jones & Alex Jones; sisters, Debbie & Toby Coleman and Tonya Jones & Jim Crabb; brother, Baraka & Pattie Jones; brother-&-sister-in-law, David & Rita Sloan; several nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis and wife, Rhonda. Mr. Jones loved his son and grandchildren above anything else. He enjoyed fishing and traveling. George was currently employed at George Jones Construction in Marion.
