Gary Lynn Lannom MARION-Gary Lynn Lannom, 58, of Marion passed away at 2:40 PM, Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at the home of his sister in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 9, 2005 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Dr. John Simpson officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, December 8, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Mr. Lannom was born on June 15, 1947 in Marion, Illinois to Harry and Thelma (Conley) Lannom. Survivors include his children, Kenneth Lannom of Longview, Texas, Gary, Jr. and Julie Lannom of Jefferson, Texas, J.P. and Ruth Ann Lannom of Jefferson, Texas, Dawn Lannom of Machesey Park, Justin Lannom of Creal Springs, and Katie Lannom of Creal Springs; grandchildren, Alexandria, Shay, Caiden, Lacy and Cinnamon; brothers and sisters-in-law, Billie Wayne and Aileen Lannom of Genoa, Jack and Jo Ann Lannom of Clyde, Texas, and Rick Lannom of Herrin; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon Lee Grady of Marion, Karen Sue and Don Beyer of Elgin, and Kay and Joe Heinecke of Ixonia, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wesley Eugene Lannom and Donnie Lee Lannom; and sister, Judy Ann Lannom. Mr. Lannom worked for Distinctive Interiors for several years. He served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Marion American Legion Post 147 and both Marion and Herrin VFW Posts. He was a great father and will be greatly missed by all.
