Gary Lynn Harris Johnston City—Gary Lynn Harris, 53 of Johnston City passed away at 10:40 AM on Monday, October 1, 2012 at his home with his wife by his side. Memorial services for Mr. Harris are scheduled for Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Deon Thompson officiating. A time of gathering for family and friends will precede the memorial starting at 9:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to Williamson County Animal Control. Envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Gary was born Thursday, July 16, 1959 in Marion to Virgil & Shirley (Robertson) Harris. He married Sandra Wade on Friday, February 15, 1980 in Johnston City; she survives. Mr. Harris is survived by his wife, Sandra of Johnston City; children, Gary Lynn & Angela Harris, II, Kevin & Karrie Harris and Jodi Harris; grandchildren, Haley Harris, Hunter Harris, Emma Harris and Charli Jo Harris; father, Virgil Harris; mother, Shirley Harris and brother, Bill & Bonnie Harris. Gary was a warden for Williamson County Animal Control Local 318. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and four wheelers, fishing and junking scrap metals. He found the most fulfillment and joy spending time with his 4 grandchildren.
