Frank Ernest O’Very Marion - Frank Ernest O’Very, 73, of Marion went to be with the Lord at 10:17 AM on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Herrin Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion, IL, with the Reverend’s Mike Hood, Steve Malroy & Keith Owens officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM the same day. Military Rites will be conducted at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion, with VFW Post 1301, American Legion Post 147 and the National Guard attending. Memorial donations may be made to the Kalea Ricketts Education Fund; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL, 62959. Frank was born August 22, 1937 in St. Louis County, MO, to Kunion & Viola (Burkin) O’Very. He married Nancy Hodges on February 14, 1958 in Clifton, CO. She survives of Marion. Survivors include his wife; children, Frank & Karen O’Very, Jr. of Bird City, KS, Anthony O’Very of Grand Junction, CO, Ricky O’Very and Dominick O’Very both of Marion, Nina & William Pearce of Clear Water, FL, Jenny O’Very of Johnston City, Richard O’Very of Benton, Mary & Rod Rodenberg of Irondale, MO, Angie O’Very of Marion, Patty & Bob Payne of Farmington, MO, Nancy & Cecil Shelton of Lake of Egypt, Jerry O’Very & George O’Very both of St. Louis, MO; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and the love of his life, his little adopted great-granddaughter Kalea Jane Ricketts. Frank was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; two sisters and one sister-in-law. Frank served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany. His favorite past times were fishing and spending time with his family.
