Floyd E. Partain

Marion Floyd E. Partain, 67, of Marion passed away on Friday, November 25, 2011 at 6:25 AM in Heartland Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Floyd will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend John Howat officiating. Pastor Dwayne Taylor will tell a short story during the services depicting the first meeting of Floyd & Brenda. A time of visitation will start at 9 AM on Tuesday and last until service time at the funeral home. Interment is scheduled for after the services in Liberty Methodist Cemetery on Galatia Post Road. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements. Floyd was born on Saturday, July 8, 1944 in Harrisburg to Clifford & Ethel (Emery) Partain. He married Brenda Swan at Aldersgate Methodist Church on Saturday, May 15, 1965. Mr. Partain is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Brenda; daughter, Kim & David Anglin of Harrisburg; grandson, Shawn Anglin of Harrisburg; aunts; uncles; several friends and special friend, an African Gray Bird named “Joey”. Floyd is preceded by his parents; an infant sister and “Second Parents”, James & Anna Killman, who he lovingly referred to as “Aunt Annie” & “Uncle Jimmy.” Mr. Partain was a member of Mt. Pleasant Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed cooking and traveling.
