Floy V. Johns

MARION-Floy V. Johns, 96, of Marion passed away at 4:15 PM, Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 29, 2005 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Paul Ramsey officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 29, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Marion. Mrs. Johns was born on June 30, 1908 in Williamson County, Illinois to Frank and Nettie (Williams) Milligan. She married Ed Johns on November 28, 1927 in Murphysboro, Illinois, he preceded her in death on March 7, 1985. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Annette and Dan Cavitt of Marion; granddaughter, Angela and Jeromy Morris of Carterville; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Hayden Morris and Jeffrey Norris; and brother, John Milligan of Greenville, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and infant son, Edward Lee Johns. Mrs. Johns was a beautician and owned and operated a beauty salon in Marion for 30 years. She attended the First Church of God and New Hope Church of God. She was a Breast Cancer Survivor for 53 years.
