Floella Strobel MARION- Floella Strobel, 75, of Marion passed away at 11:06 AM, Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 23, 2004 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Dr. Joey Brent officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 PM, Friday, April 23, 2004 at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Marion. Memorials may be made to Marion First Baptist Church Building Fund; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent co Blue Funeral Home, P.O. Box 411, Marion, Il 62959. Mrs. Strobel was born on January 18, 1929 in Williamson County, Illinois to Thomas W. and Amy (Davis) Watson. She married Floyd E. Strobel in March 2, 1951 At Scottsboro Baptist Church in Marion, and he survives. Other survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Vicki D. and Jim Becker of Jackson, Missouri; granddaughter and husband, Heather D. and Darold Lucus; step-granddaughters, Jamie Sepulvado and Kim Ahrens; great grandchildren, Graham Lucus, Madison Lucus and Crystal Ahrens; sister-in-law, June Watson of Marion; several aunts; one uncle; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William Watson, and Hallie Watson; infant sister, Wilma Louise Watson; and son-in-law, Keith Rendleman. Mrs. Strobel was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marion. She worked for General Telephone Company for 18 years as a telephone operator.
