Faye Thomas Marion – Faye Thomas, 92, of Marion passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 6:45 AM at her daughter’s home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion, IL with reverend Don Colson & Reverend Midge Jeralds officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Memorial Donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL, 62959. Faye was born May 6, 1918 in Pope Co, IL to Arthur & Dimple (Rose) Hester. Survivors include her daughter, Lana & Bob Emery of Marion; grandchildren, Kelli & John Craig, Kevin Reeder, Jennifer Reeder, Clayton Morris and Shannon Morris; great-grandchildren, Brandon Trammel, Nathan Reeder, Lauren Taylor and several nieces & nephews. Faye was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Hester; mother, Dimple Hester-Trammel; sons, Wayne Thomas, Jack Thomas, Charles Lee Thomas; daughter, Betty Louise Thomas; grandchild, Bobby Borum and several brothers & sisters. Faye was a homemaker and past nurse’s aid. She attended the Community Chapel Church in Marion and the Williamson County Program on Aging in Herrin. For 35 years she assisted in the care of her son, Jack Thomas.
