Her surviving sibling, Lula Belle Name and her husband Dewey (Whitey) Name live in Homosassa Florida. She has many surviving neices, nephews, great and great great neices and nephews. Although she never had children of her own, she had close relationships with her nieces and nephews. Ivy was an adventurous woman, like her mother before her, who traveled to Missouri in a covered wagon. Ivy was also a pioneer in many ways. She was one of the first women to work in a steel mill in Chicago, a real life Rosie the Riveter. She had many careers through out her life. She and her husband Joe worked side by side throughout their marriage. They owned several businesses, partnering in a popular luncheonette restaurant across from the Marion Junior High School and later owned a carnival together for many years. After his death in 1980, she bravely continued to manage MoShow Amusements until she retired.
