Ethel L. Holderfield
MARION-Ethel L. Holderfield, 71, of Marion passed away at 10:45 AM, Thursday, April 22, 2004 at Herrin Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 26, 2004 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend David Brinkman officiating. Visitation will be after 5:00 PM, Sunday, April 25, 2004 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Marion. Mrs. Holderfield was born on October 10, 1932 in Johnston City, Illinois to James Eugene and Madge (Jenkins) Browder. She married James H. Holderfield on April 11, 1953 in Marion, Illinois.
Survivors include her husband, Reverend James H. Holderfield of Marion; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Ricky Owens of Marion; daughter and son-in-law, Rhoda and Greg Wollard of Marion; son and daughter-in-law, Virgil and Jill Holderfield of Marion; daughter and son-in-law, Jo and Edward Troxel of Creal Springs; ten grandchildren, Samara Pitchers, Tony Hilliard, Kristina Mezo, Bethany Holderfield, Adam Holderfield, Joshua Owens, James Troxel, John Owens, Trixy Owens and Cindi Bradford; and four great grandchildren, Lynne Hilliard, Thomas Pitchers, Alyssa Mezo and Dylan Kenshalo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Robert Eugene and James William Browder.
Mrs. Holderfield was a committed follower of Jesus Christ and an active member of Warder Street Baptist Church. She retired for Marion Memorial Hospital after working in the maternity ward for 30 years.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, her family meant everything to her.
