Ernest Perry GOREVILLE-Ernest Perry, 76,of Goreville passed away at 4:45 AM, Saturday, September 24, 2005 at his home with his family at his bedside. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at the Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Reverend Dale Billingsley and Reverend R. G. Null officiating. Visitation will be after 5:00 PM, Monday, September 26, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Busby Cemetery in Goreville. Mr. Perry was born on December 13, 1928 in Johnson County, Illinois to Gus and Vertie (Thornton) Perry. He married Clara Faye Webb on September 14, 1946; together they shared 59 years of marriage. Survivors include son, Gary L. Perry of Goreville; daughters, Lamona Jeanie Flick and Brenda Lingle both of Goreville; grandchildren, Gary Dale and Lynn Pritchett, Steve Pritchett, Billy Elliot, Dusty and Kim Lingle, Kim Delgado, Tammy Jo and Jim Miller, Amy Lee Perry and Dave Durringer; eleven great grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorene and Eugene Jolly and June Stroud all of Mattoon, and Wilma and Ron Stroud and Vergie and Dale Billingsley all of Goreville; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Marilyn Perry of Marion, and Kenneth and Alma Lee Perry of Pittsburg; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Kenny Flick; and four sisters, Genevie Hancock, Lois Billingsley, Fronie Wilson and Velta Marcell. Mr. Perry was a lifelong farmer, which he enjoyed to the fullest. He loved the Lord and had great faith in him. Ernest loved his grandchildren very much. The past 17 months of his illness, he depended very much on his grandsons to help around the farm. He will be missed by all who knew him.
