Emma Lou Odum

Emma Lou Odum, 87, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at the Anchor in Marion.

Emma was born on July 6, 1932 in Marion to Roy and Mettie (Fitzgerald) Farthing.  She married Add Odum, Jr. and he preceded her in death in 1990.

Emma retired from Allen Industries.  She was a member of Christian Covenant Church in Carterville and enjoyed shopping.

Survivors include her son, Terry Odum of Marion; grandchildren, Ashley Odum and Wyatt and Brooke Odum; great grandchildren, Easton and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at 11am at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Ralph Brandon officiating.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home.

Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus, those attending the funeral service and visitation are asked to follow social distancing guidelines and the wearing of masks is encouraged.

Memorials may be made to Christian Covenant Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
