Emma J. Matlock MARION-Emma J. Matlock, 58, of Marion passed away at 8:25 PM, Monday, January 25, 2010 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Stan Serati officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Emma was born on July 4, 1951 in Creal Springs to Doliver and Lillian (Malcolm) Phillips. She married Tony Matlock; and he survives. Other survivors include her children, Danny and Kathy Bloodworth, Michelle Buie and Richard and Danielle Matlock; grandchildren, Rayna and Aaron Jennings, Jacob Bloodworth, Zackary Melcher, Tylir Buie, Ursa Matlock, Adalaide Matlock, Ian Matlock and Olive Matlock; great grandchildren, Araya, and Keira Jennings, Shawna Mitchell and Sam Mitchell; great great grandchildren, Ryleigh Mitchell; sisters, Carol, Geraldine and Barbara; brothers, Charles and Gilbert; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Geneva and Pricilla; brothers, Harry and Deon; and step-daughter, Melissa Matlock. Emma worked as a caregiver and she was a homemaker. She loved flowers and was a collector of Antiques and Quilts.
